What is Rapé?

Rape cleans the mind as it has got an incredible healing power. This natural medicine is ancestrally used by different cultures of the Amazon. Rapé is a combination of natural tobacco and the crust of a medicinal tree. It is a sacred dust that clears up your thoughts and connects you to your inner self and the Pachamama.

Preparation

First of all, the Tabaco is crushed and cooked until it dries up. It then has to be crushed again and again until a very thin dust is left over. It can be prepared with the cacao tree, cinnamon, mesquite wood and others. Each one of them has its specific medicine, the leaves and the crust are used.

Way of consumption

Rapé is inhaled through the nose. The medicine is applied on a special inhaler, the shaman or spiritual guide blows the Rapé, the strength of the medicine depends on the force with which the shaman blows as well as the amount inhaled.
If you wish to participate in a Rapé ceremony, it is recommended to go on a diet for at least 1 day before the ceremony. The diet should exclusively consist of fruits and vegetables. Meat, fish, citrus fruits, salt, sugar, fried foods, oil, butter, soda, cigarettes, marihuana, chemical medicines, alcohol or any other drugs are not recommended to take in at least 24 hours before the ceremony. It is especially important to drink sufficient water before the ceremony and have a good night of rest.

RESERVATION POLICY

After services are rendered, the guest can receive an itemized invoice or a proof of purchase in the form of a receipt. If the guest cancels 24 hours before services are rendered, s/he will have to pay 50% of the total value of the contracted services. If services are cancelled on the same day of the ceremony, s/he will have to pay the entire cost.
